A second site in Canvey Island (200m from the existing) was acquired in 2016, and a third site at Woodville South Derbyshire added in 2021. Each site employs a team of experienced reinforcement professionals from production through to senior management. Significant investment in machinery and people allows FBR to offer unrivalled capacity and flexibility to manage multiple challenging reinforcement contracts at any time.
This site also houses our mechanical coupler operations, with nVent Lenton and Dextra GRIPTEC systems offered as standard. Typically, up to 20,000 threaded/swaged connections are processed on a weekly basis. The site is complimented by the addition of a fully automated, multi-bar shear line. The second site on Charfleets Road accommodates our prefabrication facility. Multiple pile cage fabrication machines can accommodate a variety of lengths & diameters, with a typical weekly capacity of up to 500 tonnes. Additional space is available for hand fixed fabrications, such as D-wall cages to be fabricated. This site operates as group head office with all necessary functions.
This 12.5-acre site allows significant stocks of reinforcement & ancillary items to be stocked in one place. This site also accommodates nVent Lenton and Dextra GRIPTEC mechanical coupler operations with up to 4,000 threaded/swaged connections processed on a weekly basis. This site is also complimented by the addition of a fully automated, multi-bar shear line. Weekly cut & bent capacity is currently 1,000 tonnes from a single shift. Woodville also accommodates our northern prefabrication facility. Multiple pile cage fabrication machines can accommodate a variety of lengths & diameters, with a typical weekly capacity of up to 300 tonnes. This site serves as our regional satellite office with experienced staff on hand to assist.
